a lotta catchin' up to do

Let's just be honest here - none of you who are reading this blog right now have any interest at all in seeing mine and Justin's ugly mugs, so let's just cut to the chase. Baby Jade is almost 4 months , to be precise - 17 weeks old, and you want to see her! Let us fill you in on her story so far.

In the beginning, God made Jade...

...and God saw that Jade was good.

Of all the creatures he had made so far, she was his most beautiful creation yet!

She did all the things that babies should do -- she smiled at her mommy,

and pooped like she was supposed to,

and she hardly ever got into mischief.

Jade has already reached so many milestones in her short, blessed little life...

She has proven herself to be a good traveler,

a good sitter,

a good reader,

and a great entertainer.

So hold your head up high Baby Jade,

and be proud of who you are!

We adore you. And we can't wait to see how the rest of your sweet story unfolds.

okay fine!!

Okay, okay fine, FINE! We'll start a blog already!!

I have to admit, this is a risky move on my part. (I should say "our" part - I'm going to make Justin be involved in this family blog endeavor too!) The last time I started a blog, it was for my art. I linked it to my art website to hopefully promote more traffic, and then I completed a total of two, yes TWO entries since over a year ago!! Needless to say, the traffic hasn't increased. Blogging about myself, let alone my art - not my thing!!

Well, now that Justin and I have officially joined the ranks of parenthood, we have begun to reconsider this hobby that has for so long felt like "just not our thing." Amazing what a chubby little, big-headed, adorable baby girl can do to folks! So now that our little family of boring old two has become THREE, we are eager to share our little Jade's adorable face, and our family happenings with those we love.

The first few entries here are probably going to be us getting caught up on the last few months. Needless to say, we've got a baby to brag about! Here goes...
